As a registered architect in 34 states, including California, Lamar leads a multi-disciplinary practice that invigorates his clients’ businesses by simultaneously expressing their values, supporting their culture, and expressing their legacy through architecture. In understanding his client’s objectives, Lamar is both an active listener and a strong leader for facilitating, coordinating, and implementing a clients’ vision. Lamar moved to Chicago more than 20 years ago to open and lead a new office for a large global design firm. Under his leadership, the firm grew to become the largest architecture firm in the Chicago area, providing services to the region’s most prestigious clients.
Actively involved with civic, community, and not-for-profit organizations, Lamar serves on the Cristo Rey Board of Directors and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago.
His commitment to community endeavors has been recognized with the AIA Illinois’ R Buckminster Fuller Award for dedication to humanitarian concerns and social impact; and “Man of the Year” honors from the Chicago Building Congress and Real Estate Council of the City of Hope.
