This confidential client’s dedicated data center takes up 25,000 square-feet on its building’s 4th floor. The center’s power and cooling are the equivalent of a tier 3 data center with N+1 redundancy. Mechanical and electrical conduits are run overhead using a trough system, avoiding the need for access flooring. This data center will be client’s dedicated corporate data center on their new campus.
The data center is part of a 20-story project that will be approximately 1 million-square-feet and occupy a full city block. It will include a high-performance workplace, street level retail, employee amenities, and parking for more than 1000 employees. The building is targeted to be LEED Gold and integrates a range of sustainability strategies including a high-performance exterior enclosure, energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, and an exterior landscaped terrace which captures and utilizes rainwater. The project is designed to promote new ways of working and enhance productivity and efficiencies that will redound to the benefit of the client’s employees and customers.
