To keep a fast-track deadline, Clayco started work in the winter and used innovative heating techniques to create suitable conditions for the pouring of tilt-up concrete wall panels throughout the winter months.
It was very important to DM Management to create an interior and exterior environment that was comfortable for its employees and projected the correct image to the public. To this extent, DM Management purchased a site in Tilton, New Hampshire, which ultimately would provide a campus environment. The 32,000-square-foot corporate office component was designed as a separate structure and is connected to the distribution facility by a two-story link, which houses some of the key employee amenities. The 367,000-square-foot warehouse features three and one-half miles of conveyer lines and a state-of-the-art HVAC system. The overall facility was positioned on the site to be viewed from the nearby highway and with views overlooking a small lake. The overall design of this facility creates an excellent start for the campus master plan concept.
