University of North Texas (UNT)

Dallas, Texas

The building includes classrooms, a library, a video conference room, computer labs, faculty offices and administrative spaces.

Clayco completed a building in south Dallas that became home to a new branch campus of the University of North Texas (UNT). The $5.6 million, 78,545-square-foot building was developed by Trammell Crow Company and is located in Stoneridge Business Park, a 183-acre industrial development near Interstate 20 and Hampton Road in Dallas.

The building includes classrooms, a library, a video conference room, computer labs, faculty offices and administrative spaces. Several of the rooms feature a two-tiered lighting system. One is used for video presentations, the other primarily as a lecture hall. Library computers are linked to the university’s research network.

The single-level structure built by Clayco has tilt-up concrete panel walls accented by a rustic fieldstone facade and marked by bands of dark gray ribbon glass. The building is extensively landscaped. Parking is provided for 536 vehicles.
