We give every intern a summer learning plan on day one along with monthly reviews to continue goal setting and to track progression. Aside from hands-on experience, interns have the opportunity to learn all things Clayco by attending Clayco’s intern Lunch and Learn Trainings, ranging from Clayco culture, the history of design-build, preconstruction, and much more. Whether you are in accounting, IT, or construction, you will have the opportunity to learn our business model and what it takes to be a part of the Clayco family.
After my first summer at Clayco, I knew I wasn’t ready for my journey here to end. The first thing I would tell future interns is that you are not “just an intern.” You are a fulltime Clayco employee. While your role may be temporary, your work matters.
Growing up in St. Louis, I would always see Clayco all over the city and how they impacted the surrounding communities. When choosing a company to work for, Clayco was an easy choice for me!
So far, my internship has provided me with valuable real world experience, meaningful networking opportunities, and significant professional growth. I believe Clayco has helped shape me into a more confident, adaptable, and well rounded young engineer.
I have learned so much through this opportunity and gained so many new skills I will carry with me throughout my career.
