At Clayco, we’re looking for the best and brightest who run toward complexity and take ownership. Build what matters, solve what others can’t, and help deliver the mission critical infrastructure powering America’s future.
Design-build means one company holds responsibility for both design and construction under a single contract. For data centers, it matters because power, cooling, and structure decisions are interdependent, and a design handed to a builder after the fact usually has to be redone. Clayco and our fully integrated subsidiary LJC, an award-winning architecture and design firm, design and build in the same room, which removes the redesign cycle and shortens the path to power-on.
Clayco Compute is Clayco’s mission critical group, focused on hyperscale, cloud, AI-ready, colocation, and enterprise data centers. We handle site selection, utility strategy, architecture and engineering, procurement, vendor management, off-site modular construction, self-perform concrete, mechanical and electrical systems, integrated quality and commissioning to achieve operational systems.
AI workloads change the building. Rack densities that used to run 10 to 15 kW now run past 100 kW, which pushes most campuses from air to liquid cooling and reshapes the power train, the structure, and the floor plate. Clayco continuously innovates our designs to stay ahead of our clients’ rapidly increasing density requirements, using modular, scalable solutions that can quickly adapt as requirements change, even during delivery. At Galaxy Digital’s Helios campus in Afton, Texas, we’re delivering 133 MW of liquid-cooled critical IT load with a gigawatt-scale build-out underway.
Data centers have become part of the nation’s critical infrastructure: supporting national defense, emergency response, healthcare, financial systems and the computing power behind American innovation. As demand for that capacity accelerates, Clayco Compute is proving that speed and scale don’t have to come at the environment’s expense.
Across our active hyperscale campuses, we’re engineering lower-carbon concrete and steel systems and using Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) to provide the material data needed to track and reduce embodied carbon. Water strategy is also a critical part of our approach. Our teams evaluate regional climate and water availability alongside workload requirements to select and design cooling systems that minimize water consumption while maintaining the performance required for high-density computing environments. We’re also piloting renewable fuels and electrified equipment on our jobsites. It’s how we’re building the infrastructure the country depends on, responsibly, and for the long term.
