This confidential client’s dedicated data center takes up 20,000 square feet on its building’s 4th floor. The center’s power and cooling are the equivalent of a tier 3 data center with N+1 redundancy. This 1.5MW data center includes two redundant 800kva UPS’s serving downstream IT loads. Future expandability using lithium ion technology is included at 1600kva per side.
Mechanical and electrical conduits are run overhead using a trough system, avoiding the need for access flooring. This data center will be client’s dedicated corporate data center on their new campus.
The data center is part of a 20-story project that is approximately 1 million square feet and occupies a full city block. It includes a high-performance workplace, street level retail, employee amenities, and parking for more than 1000 employees. The building is LEED Gold and integrates a range of sustainability strategies including a high-performance exterior enclosure, energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, and an exterior landscaped terrace which captures and utilizes rainwater.
