Partnering with Local Builders

Thinking Big, Working Locally

Regardless of the size or complexity of a project, Clayco is well-versed in making the impossible, possible. Whether it’s renovating landmarks while keeping history intact or building the tallest building within a metropolitan city, in certain markets we have partnered with local builders to exceed client expectations.

Boosting a Local Business District

Collaborating with TW Constructors

Clayco, in a joint venture with TW Constructors, built a 210,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for World Wide Technology in west St. Louis County. The headquarters houses up to 1,000 World Wide Technology employees and was fully integrated into Westport Plaza, an existing entertainment and business district, as part of a larger revitalization effort. TW Constructors, a design-build, minority-owned business, focuses on building state-of-the-art facilities and improving the communities around them.

Infusing New Energy into a Historic Landmark

Teaming with Turner

As one of the most iconic buildings in Chicago, the Willis Tower is a civic destination, welcoming 1.7 million national and international visitors annually to its Skydeck on the 103rd floor. Through a partnership and joint venture with Turner Construction, Clayco joined the repositioning project to oversee its transformation. In addition to the reconfigured space, modern additions include a 30,000-square-foot outdoor deck. Blackstone & Equity Office along with the City of Chicago envision the project to provide new energy to the central business district, creating a lively center for the community to work and recreate.

Unveiling a Refreshed Entertainment Destination

After dark, the State Farm Center – the popular arena hosting University of Illinois basketball games as well as concerts and theatrical productions – comes alive. Its brilliant white dome glows—symbolic of the bright talent performing beneath its uniquely structured roof. The integrated project team, comprised of Clayco and Turner, were responsible for renovating this Illini landmark. Strategically sequenced into six separate phases, the arena was still able to allow all basketball games to be played throughout construction.

Redefining the Richmond Skyline

Helping Hourigan

Clayco, in a joint venture with Hourigan, was able to boast its fully integrated services comprised of the expertise from CRG, Concrete Strategies and Ventana in building a new, dual-tower office for Dominion Resources. The 20-story, Class-A high rise development includes over 1 million square feet of space, countless tenant amenities and first floor retail. Upon completion, they will be the tallest buildings in Richmond, Virginia.

Building for Employee Success

Pairing with Paric

Located in Berkeley, Missouri, Express Scripts’ corporate headquarters campus has received several awards. Atop a 16-acre site, the headquarters was made possible through the relationship between Clayco and Paric, which made fast tracking the project a possibility. Through the project team’s proven success in developing with the end user in mind, the project incorporated naturalistic landscaping and copious amenities conducive of the client’s emphasis of employee satisfaction. With well executed due diligence and a successful design phase, Clayco-Paric was able to overcome various challenges on the project by looking ahead, identifying critical activities, and putting individual scopes and bid documents together to meet early field dates.
