Clayco Advances Integrated Delivery Model with Expanded Self-Perform Leadership
CHICAGO, IL — January 29, 2026 — Clayco, a leading design-build firm, today announced the creation of a new enterprise leadership role, President of Self Perform, underscoring the firm’s continued investment in self-perform construction as a core driver of project certainty, speed, and quality across its national portfolio. In this newly created role, Jason Mrozek will work closely with Clayco’s self-perform businesses across concrete, building enclosure, mechanical and electrical systems to enhance growth and operational performance across the Clayco enterprise.
As demand accelerates across sectors such as data centers, life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and large-scale commercial development, owners are increasingly prioritizing delivery models that provide greater control over labor, sequencing, and quality. Clayco’s self-perform platform plays a central role in meeting those expectations, enabling tighter coordination between design, engineering, and construction teams.

Mrozek brings more than two decades of construction industry leadership experience to Clayco. Most recently, he served as Executive Vice President at Cal Solar Inc., where he oversaw integrated business operations and collaborated with stakeholders to scale delivery and operational performance. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in operations and project delivery at McCarthy Building Companies and their affiliated self-perform entities, gaining deep experience in large-scale construction execution, operations strategy, and cross-functional leadership. “Owners are asking for faster schedules, fewer handoffs, and greater certainty,” said Mrozek. “Self-perform gives us the ability to control the work that matters most, and I’m excited to help scale these capabilities across Clayco in a way that supports our teams and delivers real value to clients.”
