Clayco Donates $2 Million to Missouri University of Science and Technology
Investment will contribute to lab expansion and key industry research
ST. LOUIS – April 25, 2018 – Clayco announced today that it is signing on as a lead donor in a $10.5 million lab expansion project at Missouri University of Science and Technology. The $2 million donation is part of a continuous effort to help the acclaimed school continue its rapid growth. Clayco’s donation will be used to finish fundraising efforts for the Advanced Construction and Materials Laboratory, one of Missouri S&T’s top priorities.
The project serves as a key opportunity to advance research within the world of construction materials and methods. With expansions in testing equipment, faculty positions and the high-bay structures lab, which is used to conduct heavy-duty testing of large construction materials such as full-scale steel beams, the university will be able to produce further research that changes the way the industry operates.
“Clayco could not be more delighted to contribute to the wonderful work that Missouri S&T is doing to build better technology and methods for the future of the construction industry,” says Bob Clark, Chairman and CEO of Clayco. “We at Clayco have utmost faith in the university’s students, faculty and staff and look forward to working with them as this lab expansion benefits the entire construction industry for years to come.”
Clayco believes this expansion project fits in perfectly with the company’s mission to look beyond the walls of a construction development and benefit society as a whole. Through this project, the construction industry will continue to evolve to ensure a better future to make construction projects cheaper, faster and more sustainable.
