Clayco Names Chad Dorgan Senior Vice President, Enterprise Quality
CULVER CITY, CA — August 27, 2025 — National design-build firm, Clayco has appointed Chad Dorgan, P.E., Ph.D., LEED Fellow, ASHRAE Fellow, as its new Senior Vice President of Enterprise Quality, bringing over three decades of leadership in construction quality, sustainability, and operational performance.
Dorgan is known for turning strategy into execution. He’s led sustainability and technology initiatives across more than $20B in projects, building systems that go beyond pilots to become standard practice. His work spans everything from process fixes to tech rollouts, identifying opportunities, aligning with leadership, tracking performance, and integrating it all into day-to-day operations.

Before joining Clayco, Dorgan led enterprise quality and sustainability efforts at McCarthy Building Companies and served as president of Dorgan Associates. He also held leadership roles with ASHRAE, the USGBC, and the Construction Industry Institute. His work includes a patent in automated construction QA, multiple industry-standard guides, and a Ph.D. focused on indoor air quality and productivity.
At Clayco, he’ll be tasked with driving enterprise-wide quality governance, aligning standards with strategic objectives, and scaling integrated solutions that reduce risk and improve results from design through delivery. “What drew me to Clayco is the alignment between culture and execution,” said Dorgan. “Here quality isn’t a department, it’s a mindset.
