Clayco Tops Building Design+Construction’s Giants 400 Rankings as Nation’s Largest Design-Build Construction Firm
CHICAGO – November 20, 2021 – Today Clayco was recognized as the nation’s largest design-build construction firm according to a report compiled by Building Design+Construction magazine. With $3.4 billion in design-build revenue for 2020 and a firm grip on the design-build distribution center market, Clayco ranked No. 1 among the top 100 design-build construction firms according to BD+C’s 2021 Giants 400 Report.
As part of the publication’s 2021 Giants 400 Report, which ranks U.S. building contractors by annual revenue, Clayco earned the No. 18 spot among the Top 140 Contractors for 2021 with 2020 revenues of $3.8 billion. BD+C also ranks U.S. contractors by building sector. Clayco earned the No. 1 spot among the Top 100 Industrial Facility Contractors and CM Firms; the No. 11 spot among the Top 45 Data Center Sector Contractors and CM Firms; and the No. 8 spot among the Top 95 Office Building/Core+Shell Contractors and CM Firms.
In November, Clayco was recognized by Midwest Real Estate News. In the magazine’s “2021 Best of the Best” issue, Clayco ranked No. 1 among the top 65 general contractors in the Midwest. This ranking was also determined by 2020 revenues.
