Clayco’s New St. Louis Office – Berkeley, Missouri
Berkeley, Missouri
Clayco completed the 165,000-square-foot corporate headquarters and training facility for the Atlanta Falcons on a fast-track schedule. Located on a 50-acre site in Flowery Branch, Georgia, the sports training complex features a 75,000-square-foot headquarters building, a 90,000-square-foot indoor practice facility and three outdoor NFL natural turf fields with immediate gravity drainage systems. Red brick is the dominant exterior finish, showcasing a green metal roof system with large overhangs. The centralized glass entry and two-story main lobby provide an elegant but economical welcome.
The two-story headquarters houses the Falcons’ corporate offices, state-of-the-art training and locker facilities, a 140-seat auditorium, and associated meeting rooms designed to accommodate the most advanced multi-media needs. The first floor of the headquarters building is a large locker room complex with oversized showers, saunas and steam rooms; complete training, strength training and weightlifting rooms; whirlpools and a hydrotherapy pool; and a full kitchen and dining facility for team meals.
All rooms are designed with NFL players in mind. Many of the first floor ceilings are heightened, with oversized doorways and expansive halls. Even the seats in the auditorium are generously sized. Executive, coach and administrative support staff offices are located on the second floor and share a view of the outdoor practice field. A sophisticated security system with highly sensitive motion detectors, remote cameras, and the latest in card readers and keypad security locks binds the campus.
