Due to the facility’s 40’ clear heights, 117 dock positions, and convenient accessibility to Interstate 90, the retailer is able to better serve its vendors throughout the northeast region.

With 785,000 square feet of space, Clayco broke ground on Dollar General’s new distribution-warehouse in the spring of 2017 located in New York. Due to the facility’s 40’ clear heights, 117 dock positions, and convenient accessibility to Interstate 90, the retailer is able to better serve its vendors throughout the northeast region.

The new distribution center has created over 400 new jobs in Montgomery County, and provided up to 200 jobs while the project was under construction. Included with the warehouse is a dispatch center, truck maintenance building, pump house, and guardhouses along the perimeter. Leo A. Daly served as the architect on the project.

The facility is the fourth project Clayco has completed for the retailer.

Safety is Our First Priority

Our Dollar General jobsite in Amsterdam, New York just reached 500 days without a recordable injury. We held a safety pizza lunch for all onsite. Three grand prizes were raffled off in a drawing, but everyone received a Stanley 25’ tape with a custom Clayco 500 Days Injury Free sticker. The entire site has made a group effort in getting us to this point. All were thanked for their efforts and a challenge was set for our next milestone in safety.
