Clayco constructed a 150,000-square-foot corporate headquarters facility for Flexi-Mat, the market leader in the pet bedding industry. The project was the first building to be constructed in the new Crossroad Business Center in Plainfield, Illinois.

Clayco served as design-builder for the one-story manufacturing and headquarters building. Constructed of precast concrete wall panels and a conventional steel structure, the building features 28-foot clear-height ceilings in the manufacturing portion of the project and 10,000 square feet of office space. The new facility allowed Flexi-Mat to consolidate operations previously split between two locations in downtown Chicago.
