Koman/CityPlace Retail

1 2 / 2

The two-story, mixed-use building features retail shops and Class A office space.

Clayco completed design-build work on this 50,653-square-foot addition to the retail center, bringing the total area to more than 92,000 square feet. The two-story, mixed-use building features approximately 23,000 square feet of retail shops and 27,600 square feet of Class A office space. A new entrance, constructed of architectural cast-in-place concrete panels with steel and glass, and a level of structured underground parking serve the second-story office space.

To give the retail center a more upscale look, Clayco introduced a new tilt-up technique, forming the panels and then setting bricks in plastic snaps before adding the concrete and rebar behind. When the panels were erected, the exposed brick presented a brick veneer appearance. Additional site improvements included a fountain plaza, landscaping and extended surface parking. The retail center was the third of many projects Clayco completed at the CityPlace campus in Creve Coeur, Missouri.
