MICDS – McDonnell Athletic Center and Field House

In addition to meeting the training needs of the 75 athletic teams MICDS currently fields, it will be used for physical education classes and to host a variety of MICDS and community-related events and gatherings.

Clayco completed the McDonnell Athletic Center and Field House for Mary Institute and Country Day School (MICDS). The complex was phase two of a three-phase project. The 80,000-square-foot complex features three multi-purpose tennis/basketball/volleyball courts; a 200-meter track; a long jump approach and pit; a pole vault approach and pit; two batting cages; locker room facilities for home and visiting teams, alumni and coaches; 9,000 square feet of office, conference and storage space; a glass-walled, 3,500-square-foot fitness center on the third floor that links the field house to the Middle School Gymnasium and Shoenberg Hall; and an atrium lobby.
