Clayco’s New St. Louis Office – Berkeley, Missouri
Berkeley, Missouri
The owners of the O’Fallon Office Park development came to Clayco with a preconceived site plan and building concept. After discussions with Clayco, the economics of that scheme were brought into question. Clayco suggested a new design that provided the owner with a more economically viable alternative. The knowledge and insight that Clayco brought to the table lead to Clayco’s selection as the design-build contractor for the project.
The initial building was a three-story, 150,000-square-foot speculative office building constructed of architectural site-cast concrete wall panels and utilities, an abundance of aluminum storefront and curtainwall. The exterior wall will be accented with reveals and metal trim and provide a striking image on one of the St. Louis’ busiest regional highways.
Phase II consists of a matching adjacent building positioned to create shared outdoor courtyard space.
The use of the architectural site-cast construction techniques in lieu of other more conventional methods allowed the construction time to be shortened considerably.
