See Yourself at Clayco
Take a Tour of Our Offices
We invite you to take a look inside our Chicago headquarters and our newly renovated Overland office. Our offices are home to a diversely talented team of individuals who are held to the highest standards in the industry and we designed these spaces to encourage their success.
Showcasing a collaborative work culture, our Chicago headquarters offers an abundance of dedicated collaboration spaces to encourage creativity, knowledge sharing and open exchange of ideas.
Located in an iconic Chicago beaux arts skyscraper, the light, spacious, and functional office pays tribute to existing architectural elements while creating a thoroughly modern workplace. The interiors highlight the company’s integrated approach to business. An interior circulation core is lined with wood panel walls and ceilings leads to conference facilities, private offices, and casual gathering spaces at the perimeter.
Because Clayco encourages a collaborative, multidisciplinary culture, the interior utilizes an open and flexible layout. Glass walls emphasize a democratic access to light and spectacular views of downtown architecture.
Our Overland Office
Once a construction warehouse, this re-purposed office space creates a customer and employee centric first impression that accurately reflects the real-time collaborative work occurring every day in Clayco’s Overland office.
Open sight lines and connectivity are the foundation of this space. A North-South path creates a central spine for walking routes, collaborative, and social activity as well as creating a clear view to the windows on the South façade. A long, central wall is affectionately referred to as “the Spine” and is clad in magnetic glass – and acts as the central nervous system for visualizing ideas and gathering teams. Open meeting areas offer a variety of postures and support nearby offices and workstations. First floor and open mezzanine level rooms called “the Treehouse” and “T2” offer flexible project space to charrette ideas and collect materials. As a construction and design company, the office is a living lab to test materials and building techniques.
A Work Café engages the outdoor patio and is visible from the entrance and work space beyond. Clayco’s employees have access to not only a place to eat their lunches away from their desks, but also a hub that fosters casual conversation and relationships among the enterprise’s business units. Company-wide philanthropic and celebratory events like the yearly turkey fry, Kidstruction, and Pedal the Cause were also considered while planning a comfortable space for all to gather.
