Acibadem Maslak Hospital Expansion

1 2 / 2

The existing 800,000-square-foot Maslak Hospital is the focal point of an anchor campus for Acibadem Healthcare Group, an institution with an expanding regional reach and global aspirations.

Clayco’s Lamar Johnson Collaborative was hired for this expansion of a The Acibadem Maslak Hospital campus, which doubles the size of the current facility and creates centers of excellence for specialty programs. The existing 800,000-square-foot Maslak Hospital is the focal point of an anchor campus for Acibadem Healthcare Group, an institution with an expanding regional reach and global aspirations. The 775,000-square-foot, 156 bed, expansion will provide inpatient and outpatient specialty programs including pediatrics, women’s, and oncology services. The challenge of doubling the size of the existing campus is addressed by a thoughtful planning of the site to create distinct points of entry for specialty programs and multiple above and below grade linkages back to the existing hospital. The new construction is sympathetic in massing to the existing but re-brands the campus in a contemporary expression of terracotta, wood, metal, and glass.  The existing hospital will be re-clad in the updated design expression creating a unified and consistent patient experience and campus environment.
