Clayco rose to the challenge of this project schedule and created innovative methods for performing standard construction around the team’s operations. After breaking ground on the project in 2004, the Cardinals opened their new retro-style downtown ballpark on April 10, 2006. A few years later, the new Busch Stadium hosted the 80th MLB All-Star Game, in July 2009.

Clayco served as the project manager and cost and constructability consultant for the new Busch Stadium as well as the general contractor for the St. Louis Cardinals’ corporate offices. Involved with the project at the onset, Clayco was instrumental in establishing budget parameters and initial design. The project features 46,000 seats, 3,706 club seats and 61 luxury suites, as well as housing 40,000 square feet of office space for team management, a conference center and administrative offices.
