Buske Lines, Inc. – Warehouse Expansion

The single-story facility was constructed using tilt-up concrete and a conventional structural steel system.

Clayco has completed two warehouse facilities for Buske Lines in Gateway Commerce Center, bringing the company’s Metro East warehouse space to nearly 800,000 square feet. Buske, which moved its headquarters to Gateway from Litchfield, Illinois, owns approximately 48 acres in the business park.

Buske’s second warehouse includes 420,000 square feet of space. The single-story facility was constructed using tilt-up concrete and a conventional structural steel system. The warehouse areas have 39-foot clear-height ceilings and feature punched warehouse glass and a K-25 sprinkler system. In addition, the building has approximately 5,000 square feet of office space, a maintenance area, battery charging area and a fire pump room.

Clayco completed the first office/warehouse facility in two phases. The initial project consisted of a 165,000-square-foot office/warehouse facility with a three-story, 15,000-square-foot office building and a 150,000-square-foot warehouse. An additional 195,000 square feet was later added. The 360,000-square-foot warehouse features 39-foot clear-height ceilings, 17 dock doors, one drive-in door, metal halide lighting, sprinklers and a monitored security system and computerized inventory control.

Clayco received a Development Team of the Year Award from the St. Louis Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors for its work as general contractor at Gateway Commerce Center.
