Clayco was selected for this 1.5 million-square-foot distribution center in Greencastle, Pennsylvania.
This project is a 1.5 million-square-foot distribution center with 950,000 square feet of structural mezzanines. The project includes sitework and utilities with underground water retention on 129 acres of farmland. CSO Architects, Inc. is the architect on the project.
Over 1,170,000 square feet of the building has a clear height of 75’ and includes two 500,000 sf mezzanines. There is an additional 42’ clear height area of 350,000 square feet located on the east end of the building. There are 6 main office spaces located on the mezzanines (two per floor) on the east and west sides of the buildings for a total office space of 70,000 square feet. The main entrances to the offices are on the 2nd level mezzanine, two pedestrian bridges connect the offices to stair/elevator towers in the employee parking lots.
The bridges span over the trailer parking and dock apron located below. This project has 99 dock positions and one dock ramp with access into the building. The site is 130 acres with an onsite fuel station, multiple retaining walls, and 4 massive underground retention basins under the trailer parking and employee parking lots along with 8 above ground basins/ponds. The site has 2 guardhouses for controlling access to the trailer parking and dock door
