Clayco constructed this 170,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for Carondelet Foundry using tilt-up concrete panels and structural steel, and each bay features heavy crane rail capacity. The plant houses all manufacturing process equipment as well as cobalt x-ray capabilities.
A manufacturer of custom cast products made from more than 380 alloy compositions, the company is noted for pioneering many of the methods and procedures now used in the casting business throughout the United States. Carondelet Foundry is responsible for design and research that has led to over 20 patents.
Incorporated in the city of St. Louis in 1890, the company relocated its headquarters and manufacturing operations to its current location in Pevely, Missouri. Corporate offices, which cover more than 10,000 square feet, include a high-tech quality control laboratory, a computer-aided drafting and design system and layout room, a full-service employee lunchroom, locker/shower facilities, and conferencing and executive office spaces. Clayco provided complete turnkey, design-build services, including all architectural and engineering coordination and the relocation of process equipment.
