Clayco constructed a new distribution facility for Dick’s Clothing and Sporting Goods in the I-70 Industrial Park in Smithton, Pennsylvania. The project consisted of on-site improvements and new construction of a 388,190-square-foot office and warehouse building. The interior includes 9,000 square feet of office space and a 379,190-square-foot distribution zone with 34-foot clear-height ceilings.
The distribution facility was constructed of tilt-up concrete wall panels over a structural steel frame. The design team created an entry that reflects the typical facade of Dick’s Clothing and Sporting Goods retail stores. The Smithton facility can be expanded by up to 200,000 square feet, enabling Dick’s to serve 160 stores.
