Clayco completed a 716,000-square-foot warehouse addition for the former online retailer eToys Inc. to help meet demands for holiday sales. Construction was completed in just seven months.

Located on a 40-acre site in Blairs, Virginia, the project required the excavation of 100,000-cubic-yards of rock. Clayco then imported 200,000-cubic-yards of off-site fill material. The single-story structure is constructed of tilt-up concrete panels in three warm shades of gray and includes 10,000 square feet of office space. Blue reflective glass surrounding the building floods the interior with natural light.

The warehouse space is designed for rack storage and a small conveyor system under 38-foot clear-height ceilings. The interior space accommodates the use of forklifts and hand trucks, moving product through 40 dock doors.
