Clayco completed a 559,258-square-foot, three-building complex for Harcourt Inc. in San Antonio, Texas. Developed by Trammell Crow Company, the 77-acre campus is home to two Harcourt subsidiaries – The Psychological Corp. and Harcourt Educational Measurement.

The office and operations facility consists of two two-story office buildings totaling 146,180 square feet and a 413,078-square-foot operations facility. A 120-foot-long, glass-topped walkway connects the office to the operations center. The L-shaped office complex features a glass curtainwall main entry, architectural glass, a two-story atrium lobby and a skylight-topped central corridor on the second floor. Exterior walls are tilt-up concrete panels with tinted glass windows.

To limit the impact the construction had on the existing property, a large area was designated as preserved area, and existing topography was used in parking zones to incorporate as many mature trees as possible. In addition, the amount of disturbed acreage was limited, allowing for large areas of existing vegetation and landscape to remain intact. New landscape and hardscape was added to complement and enhance the natural landscape and campus feel.
