HonorHealth on Shea Parking Garage

This four-story garage project features 472 parking spaces and was designed to help resolve ongoing parking difficulties for users of the HonorHealth Labor and Delivery building.

The parking garage was built with cast-in-place concrete. The initial construction featured four floors, but a fifth is possible in a future expansion that could bring the total number of spaces to 592.

The site design included a bridge connecting the garage to the hospital on the second level. The bridge gives visitors and patients direct access to the lobby of the Labor and Delivery building to simplify arrivals and entry.

Vehicles enter the site via a turn-in from 90th Street into an internal loop road that connects to the garage and provides direct access to the rest of the campus.

The design also features a pedestrian plaza between the garage and the existing medical center that offes café-style seating. The plaza is intended both as a gathering space for visitors and as a venue for community events.

The design firm was by LJC. Landscape design was by collectiV Landscape Architects, and Dibble is the civil engineer.
