Clayco completed design-build work on a 225,000-square-foot manufacturing plant for Johnson Controls. The AG Process Center employs 300 workers and provides vehicle seating, headliner, door panels and other interior parts for “just in time” shipment to the on-site TMMTX assembly plant. A fully air-conditioned manufacturing area produces seating foam, seat frame welding, seat covering, parts assembly and injection molding and features clear-height ceilings varying from 20 to 30 feet. The center features 21,000 square feet of office space and provides a full kitchen and employee cafeteria. Lamar Johnson Collaborative, Clayco’s in-house design team, served as architect and engineering manager on this project.
