The Karis Cold Storage project is located on a 68-acre industrial park in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Clayco and LJC were selected as the design-build team for this food and beverage facility. The industrial park consists of two buildings ranging from 140,000 – 450,000 square feet. The buildings utilize concrete tilt-up walls, steel truss roof structures with metal deck and TPO roof system with R-20 ISO roof installation.

The facility serves as a strategic business hub for PepsiCo on Florida’s eastern coast, featuring a full fleet shop, interior cooler, and exterior freezers. Positioned to accommodate future expansion, the new site supports PepsiCo’s regional growth plans.

The team navigated multiple updates to the client’s requirements, ensuring alignment with PepsiCo’s design standards while maintaining project efficiency.

The project incorporates sustainable features such as Geo Charging stations for PepsiCo’s fleet, supporting the transition to cleaner energy. The design also follows FM Global Criteria for roof installation, ensuring durability and safety. This new facility will enhance PepsiCo’s operational capabilities and support its growth in the region.

This state-of-the-art facility not only enhances PepsiCo’s operational capacity but also reinforces its sustainable practices, making it a key addition to the company’s infrastructure on the eastern coast.
