The 12-story, mixed-use building re-opened as the Hilton Garden Inn-Jackson and as Apartments at the King Edward.

Clayco completed a massive environmental cleanup and renovation project for the former King Edward Hotel, a historic hotel listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Plans included significant rehabilitation of both the structure’s interior and exterior architecture details. The 12-story, mixed-use building re-opened as the Hilton Garden Inn-Jackson and as Apartments at the King Edward. Clayco was joined on the project by developer King Edward Revitalization Co., composed of HRI Properties, Watkins Partners and NFL running back Deuce McAllister; and the design collaborative of HCI Architecture and Lamar Johnson Collaborative. The mixed-use building includes a 186-room hotel, 64 one- and two-bedroom residences, restaurants and additional retail outlets.
