McKesson Drug Company

The tilt-up concrete technology incorporated on these projects drew much attention in the Detroit marketplace from other design-build contractors and developers.

Soon after beginning work on Best Buy’s Livonia, Michigan, distribution center, Clayco was selected to design-build McKesson Drug Company’s 150,000-square-foot distribution center on the adjacent property. Clayco created a schedule that met both tenants’ requirements to be in their facilities before the end of the year.

The tilt-up concrete technology incorporated on these projects drew much attention in the Detroit marketplace from other design-build contractors and developers. Not only does the tilt-up concrete provide for a durable exterior and interior to accommodate warehouse functions, but also provides Clayco with the opportunity to maintain a high quality control and decrease the total length of construction schedule time.

Clayco’s design-build team worked closely with the McKesson project team to create office and warehouse functional spaces to meet and exceed their requirements.
