Clayco completed construction of a 420,000-square-foot speculative warehouse in downtown St. Louis. Clayco’s project team worked on a tight site and also relocated several public utilities without disturbing service to adjacent buildings. Constructed of conventional tilt-up concrete over structural steel, the project also included the demolition of three buildings over three weeks and ensured the on-site storm water detention area met Metropolitan Sewer District’s requirements. The $12.6 million design-build project was one of the largest distribution facilities in the city in years. Balke Brown was the developer and owner of the project.
