Clayco provided design-build services for a 101,500-square-foot corporate headquarters and single-story warehouse and distribution center for O&W, Inc. The headquarters nearly doubled the company’s space, and the warehouse and distribution center houses more than 350,000 cases of beer.

The distributorship features 45,000 square feet of controlled temperature warehouse, 5,000 square feet of draught coolers, a 38,500-square-foot staging and distribution area with wireless technology, and a 13,000-square-foot sales and administrative office. One of Michigan’s premier beer distributors, O&W consolidated its three existing locations and moved 125 employees into the new state-of-the art facility. O&W currently distributes over 3 million cases of beer annually throughout a 3.5-county area in southeast Michigan.

To ensure freshness, the new facility has the latest in Controlled Temperature Warehousing (CTW), keeping all product at 75 °F or cooler. The facility provides space for all 30 of the company’s trucks to be housed indoors and features a drive-thru capability for loading and unloading as the trucks pull into the building. The location also includes a vehicle maintenance area, vehicle wash down area, sign-making area, lunchroom and conference rooms.
