This latest facility on Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s campus will be 176,000 square feet and accommodate the School of Pharmacy and the School of Nursing. The project consists of a three-story health sciences building that will offer space for offices, academic classrooms, synthetic chemistry, nursing wet lab, pharmacogenomics, biochemistry, vivarium, and microbiology.
Activity will begin on site in spring 2023, with construction slated to begin in the fall. Project completion is anticipated for summer 2025. The Illinois Capital Development Board will oversee the project in accordance with the protocol for state-appropriated construction projects.
